Immune Cells
Immune cells not only protect the human body from various external factors but are also involved in various processes that keep the human body healthy, such as clearance, homeostasis, and regeneration.
Using these characteristics, immune cell therapies can treat intractable diseases through multiple mechanisms of action and can be more effective and safer than conventional drugs.
However, the commercialization of immune cell therapies has been complicated by limitations such as donor heterogeneity, unsuitability for mass production, and low gene editing efficiency. Therefore, innovative technologies are needed to overcome these limitations.
